To my detriment, I have now been given what seems like an unfair ultimatum. It is exceedingly disappointing and frustrating to feel I have wasted time and ultimately feel chastised for being mislead and misinformed under the guidance of my advisors and University, whether accidentally or unintentionally.
Students pursuing a Dance Credential have been advised to enroll in Physical Education. But with the new changes declared by the CTC, students are now being told they need to complete their preliminary credential in Physical Education by January 1, 2022. This date would include completion in all CSET, CalTPAs and Student Teaching. COVID-19 has put a huge hindrance on testing availability. For those testing in Physical Education, testing has been limited to only four times a year-making it extremely difficult to schedule, study and pass in a timely manner. Both my credential program and advisors have declined to disclose this information to me.
Please consider extending the PE/Dance deadline from January 1, 2022 to provide ample opportunities to finish this preliminary credential as no advisor at my University prefaced this Dance Credential approaching.
