I did the TPAs 14 years ago and found them excessively redundant in their questions. They were not written for special education teachers at all; especially moderate/severe credentials. I found that the whole document was a game of how much could you fabricate and make sound real.
I just recently watched my spouse do them in the spring and was disappointed to see that not much had changed. As a single subject English credentialed she even found the TPAs to be redundant. She struggled to answer questions that were only different by a few words. The document didn’t consider if classes didn’t have certain demographics in them.
All around, the document was poorly written by people who didn’t seem like they have been in classrooms in many years (if even at all) and at this point it is outdated.
